What It Takes to Become a Techfleet Technician
1. Basic Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate our mobile repair vans.
• Comfortable working directly with customers, representing Techfleet professionally and courteously.
2. Thorough Vetting and Screening
• Background Check: All Techfleet technicians undergo a comprehensive background check to ensure a safe and trustworthy experience for our customers.
• Child Abuse Registry Check: In compliance with our policies, we also conduct a child abuse registry check to uphold our commitment to safety and community standards.
• In-Depth Interview Process: We heavily vet and interview each applicant to assess their technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service mindset. Only candidates who meet our high standards move forward to join the Techfleet team.
3. Prior Experience:
• Previous experience in device repair is a plus, especially with diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with tools like precision screwdrivers, soldering tools, and the ability to read schematics is preferred.
• Proficiency in English (additional languages are an asset, especially French in regions like Quebec).
4. Skills and Attributes:
• Strong communication skills to engage with customers and ensure an excellent service experience.
• Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Adaptability to changing tasks and the ability to stay organized in a dynamic work environment.

• Ongoing Learning: Our Techfleet Training Portal provides continuous access to up-to-date repair techniques, troubleshooting tips, and device-specific guides.
• Peer Learning and Collaboration: The portal also allows you to connect with other technicians across Canada, enabling you to share insights, ask questions, and learn from each other.
• Certification: Upon successful completion of our training program, you’ll earn your Techfleet Certification, verifying that you meet our standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do as a Techfleet Technician
As a Techfleet technician, you’ll be responsible for providing reliable, efficient, and friendly service to our customers. Here’s a look at what your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Conducting Repairs on Location: Travel to customer locations in your mobile repair van and complete repairs efficiently and professionally.
• Customer Engagement: Greet customers courteously, explain the repair process, and ensure they’re comfortable with the service.
• Device Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair various device issues, including screens, batteries, charging ports, and other components.
• Quality Control: Follow strict quality control procedures before and after each repair to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Parts and Inventory Management: Keep track of parts and tools, ensuring everything is organized and properly maintained in the mobile repair van.
• Adhering to Safety and Presentation Standards: Maintain a clean, organized workspace within the mobile van and ensure that tools and devices are handled safely.
• Promoting the Brand: Represent Techfleet in a professional manner. Be proactive in collecting feedback and referrals, and help grow our customer base by delivering exceptional service.
